(04 MAME AWARDS 1)
ORLANDO, FL - Award-winning Osprey Custom Homes (www.orlandocustombuilder.com), one of Central Florida's leading custom homebuilders, has garnered another major honor for its growing portfolio with a 2004 MAME Award for homebuilding excellence.
Osprey captured Best Overall Design in this year's MAME custom home competition for its Beardmore, a luxurious $2.4 million, 7,500 square-foot estate on the Butler Chain of Lakes in Keene's Point in Windermere.
It was the first MAME award for the 9-year-old, family-run company which earlier this year earned First Place honors for its courtyard-styled Beaumont also in Keene's Point in the annual Parade of Homes.
MAME - which stands for Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence - recognizes those companies, professionals and organizations that excel in designing, building, marketing and selling new homes in Central Florida. The MAME awards are sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando.
Osprey certainly distinguished itself among the judges for the Beardmore, a neoclassic design with a rich contemporary flavor. The magnificent 7 bedroom, 8 bath lakefront residence features such dramatic design treatments inside and out. Inside the home is highlighted by stone floors, home theater and sound system with custom touch lighting controls, wine bar, full gym with wet bar and mirrored wall, large game room with full bar, a spacious gourmet kitchen with stainless steel commercial style appliances, and custom electronics including touch and talk door entry system. The exterior of the home is equally impressive with a custom poll and spa with fountain and paver deck, summer kitchen entertainment area with fireplace, full basketball court, 4-car garage/motor court with fountain entry and lighted boat dock.
"This is a great way to cap off what has been an outstanding year so far for our homebuilding company," says Vice President Anthony Lightman. "Osprey takes great pride in building homes of distinction and to be recognized for that in a competition like this makes this award even more special."
Osprey has been one of southwest Orlando's most active custom builders, since its inception in 1996. The company, which posted a record $11.3 million in sales last year, has consistently been ranked among the area's top 10 custom builders. The company's homes range in price from the mid $700s to more than $5 million.
